As a research institute Energy Academy Europe aims to accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy system. The academy is founded by the University of Groningen, Hanze University, GasTerra and Energy Valley. It connects education, science and business in energy research and innovation.

G2K designed the wayfinding and signing to guide people to and through the building. In line with the sustainable intentions of the architects all wayfinding is kept to a minimum using only recycled and non-PVC materials.
